Essex County forces have closed in the excavation on Begg’s Point and reseeded. We are progressing preliminary plans changing the original open system to a closed system on Begg’s Point. As we have discussed, this change in the project will now need environmental review from NYSDEC, APA and NYSOPRHP. We are gathering information at this time to submit for permits. We also will schedule a soil exploration of the proposed system to accurately locate the depth of ledge.
Once we have preliminary design complete, I will send out a public statement detailing the project progress after the permits are in place.
